Doing up a Mercedes-Benz S-Class is pretty normal for us but when it came to this client and his S400, we wanted to raise the bar and do a makeover that we never expected to see coming! With every passing day, our expectations on both ourselves and the brands we carry are ever increasing. For one, we look to the brands we carry to constantly produce new wheel designs that would revolutionize the wheel industry and we rely on our expertise to bring clients the very best makeovers achievable based on our past experiences and efforts in order to truly deliver the very best that we can.

Our client has visited our showroom time and time again looking for the perfect set of wheels that would look great on his car. Every passing week or month would lead to another visit from our client with the same intentions of which would be to find the perfect set of wheels for his car. Typically on Mercedes-Benz S-Class saloons, we would fit either 19 or 20 inch wheels on them and no doubt, we’ve showed our client dozens and dozens of both or 19 and 20 inch options and though he liked them, he never truly fell in love with their designs.

Our client loved the looks of the V-FF 109 but wasn’t sure about its size and yet again, he walked out of our showroom, empty handed, taking the time to thinking about the new V-FF 109 wheel. We test fitted the V-FF 109 wheel on his S-Class and snapped a picture for our Instagram page, taking votes on the looks of the S-Class and the V-FF 109 wheel coming together as a whole and 90% of our followers agreed!

As our General Manager, conversed with our potential client before he left our showroom, he knew that our client would never ever be satisfied with a set of 20 inch wheels. Regardless of the design, we knew that he would never be happy with a set of 20 inch wheels. In the end, the final option was a set of 22 inch wheels which would be Vorsteiner’s all-new V-FF 109 wheel, but that alone involved a lot of thinking do get done. Moving to a set of 22 inch wheels involves a lot of pros and cons with the main concerns being, the 22 inch replacement of the tires which are needed to wrap up the V-FF 109 alloys are quite rare and very hard to find. We gave him a day to sleep on it and thinking through before truly making decision.

This client was different, unique and in search for a set of wheels that his heart would love and with that in mind, less than 24 hours later, he returned, yearning for a set of V-FF 109 wheels to be installed on to his S-Class. Putting his trust in us to fit the largest wheel we’ve ever fitted on an S-Class, we began not only the first makeover with a set of V-FF 109 alloys, but also our first 22 inch wheel fitted to an S-Class!

Meet the V-FF 109 Flow Forged wheel from Vorsteiner! Elegant, dynamic and absolutely striking in every way, the V-FF 109 wheel design is made up of 10 elegant, thin spokes that’s designed to run from the outer rim lip of the wheel down to the center hub of the wheel of which delivers an illusion of a wheel that’s larger in diameter. The spokes are also carved and trimmed in a classy, elegant fashion that not only adds more eye-catching design details but also helps to shave off added weight.

Of the two wheel finish options available, the new Platinum Silver finish and the Vorsteiner signature Carbon Graphite finish, we recommended a set of V-FF 109’s of which feature the new Platinum Silver finish that’ll contrast perfectly with the Benz’s Obsidian Black paintjob! The new Platinum Silver Finish that is introduced alongside this V-FF 109 wheel, truly suits the design characteristics of the wheel. Its classy, its elegant, its downright gorgeous and its produced via a very complex engineering procedure. The finish of the wheel begins by spraying a black coat on to the face and body of the wheel. After that, Vorsteiner then covers the black surface with a silver finish, giving the wheel a satin like, matte silver finish hence its name, Platinum Silver!

With the new alloys fitted in a size of 9J x 22″ in the front and 10.5J x 22″ in the rear, the V-FF 109 wheels fills up the wheel wells of the S-Class perfectly and was fitted via a set of Vorsteiner Spline lug Bolts! No gaps and just perfection all around four corners, the V-FF 109 wheel looks amazing and contrary to popular belief, thanks to the Benz’s airmatic suspension, the V-FF 109 does not ruin the ride comfort of this luxurious S-Class! Additionally, despite the V-FF 109 wheel being a 22 inch wheel, its a lot lighter than the stock 20 inch Mercedes alloys. We bundled the set of wheels with a set of Pirelli P-Zero tires sized at 255/30/22 in the front and 295/25/22 in the rear.

All in all, our client and new found friend of ours was absolutely satisfied and happy with the end result which leads us back to our main goals we have in mind when working on these fine automobiles, raising the bar!
