eDrive Power: BMW F30 330e Hybrid Equipped With Vorsteiner V-FF 103’s!
With the launch of the all new BMW 330e, BMW has ventured further into the market of Hybridized vehicles. With 252hp pushed out to the rear wheels, there’s no mistaking this Bimmer’s power for a regular 320i or even perhaps a 330i. However, as good as this sports sedan may be, there are just more than a handful of ways that one could improve the overall character of the car as this article will explain…
A returning client of ours, he initially paid us a visit solely to swap out his stock set of 18 inch wheels for a set of fresh, new wheels. After a brief chat and a tour of our showroom which consists of various wheels from various manufacturers, without a doubt, yet again, our client pick out a set of Vorsteiner V-FF 103 alloys which are finished in Vorsteiner’s signature Carbon Graphite finish.
Sized out at 8.5J x 19″ in the front and 10J x 19″ in the rear, these new wheels cut about 35% of the weight from the stock wheels and as a result, it improves the overall handling characteristics of the Bimmer. At under 10 kilograms per wheel, the F30 would be able to pull and accelerate harder than ever with less weight! The wheels were fitted with Vorsteiner’s Spline Lug Bolts which replaces the F30’s original set of bolts for an extra touch of detail along the front face of the wheels.
Apart from that however, our client wanted to push the F30’s level of handling even further and as such, we recommended a set of H&R Anti-Roll bars to keep the car stable through the tightest of corners. A major plus point of installing H&R’s Anti-Roll bar is that, ride comfort is unaffected and uncompromised whilst cornering dynamics are vastly improved. To add that extra touch of performance, we also fitted a set of Eibach High-Performance Lowering Springs for added firmness and aesthetics.
In a nutshell, the low weight of the wheels enables this 330e to accelerate harder from a standstill and through corners with less unsprung weight. The H&R Anti-Roll Bars work cooperatively with the Eibach high-Performance Lowering Springs to keep the car firm and stable throughout each and every corner.
