When a regular customer paid us a visit, he had his car running on a set of our 20″ Vorsteiner V-FF 103 wheels. He paid us a visit notifying us that he was looking to let go of his BMW 420d Cabriolet and wanted our help to assist him in selling off his set of Vorsteiner wheels. As such, with the resale values of Vorsteiner wheels being as high as they are, we agreed to have his set of V-FF 103 wheels consigned to us. In less than three weeks to our client’s amazement, we managed to find a buyer for his wheels!

Once we received the funds from the buyer of the V-FF 103 wheels, our client told us to hold his funds while he waited for his new BMW X5 xDrive40e to be delivered. Once our client did get hold of his car, he drove his SUV over to us immediately to have a look at the selection of Vorsteiner wheels available for his X5. Regardless of which wheel design he chose, our client knew that he wanted his new set of alloys in a 22 inch size. Initially he was interested a set of V-FF 107 wheels on his car, but since there are quite a number of those on the road, we recommended a set of V-FF 109 in Vorsteiner’s signature Carbon Graphite finish alloys to our client which would contrast perfectly with his X5’s Alpine White paintjob.

Being stuck in a dilemma, our client left our office and did not return for another two months or so. During the two months, he had been reviewing our blog posts, Flickr images and even followed Vorsteiner’s social media pages! When he returned, he agreed on our recommendation of a set of V-FF 109 wheels after countless views on our blog posts and social media. As Autofuture Design’s editor in-chief, i personally feel that the V-FF 109 wheels are the most elegant wheels available on the market today in the segment. The use of design elements such its long, slender spokes which are tapered not only deliver absolute elegance but also sportiness. The V-FF 107 may stunning as well, but its a wheel that reflects a different character as compared to the V-FF 109 wheel.

The wheels were sized at 10.5J x 22″ at all four corners and was a whole lot lighter than the undersized 19 inch stock X5 alloys. We had the set wrapped up with a set of Pirelli Scorpion tires which will give this X5 the handling edge it deserves compared to its stock run flat tires. Adding a touch more sportiness, we had the whole wheel & tire combo installed via a set of Vorsteiner spline lug bolts.

Only a day after our client had his wheels installed, our client called us up and was so impressed with not just the driving feel of the car but the overall look of it and the attention he got from bystanders. He even cracked a joke saying that he wanted to return the wheels after two individuals had approached him, asking where he got his alloys! To us on our side, the whole process was absolutely worth waiting for!
