When we paid a visit to the 2016 SEMA Autoshow in Las Vegas last year, Vorsteiner launched and introduced their 570VX Aero Program that was designed and tailored for the McLaren 570S Supercar! Since then, we felt that our chances on working with such a bodykit would be little to none as the market for McLaren supercars in Asia is relatively narrow. We’ve worked on a number of Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s but never could we have foresee us doing a full refresh on a McLaren supercar!

This whole McLaren redesign began with an inquiry from our dealer of which a client had paid a visit looking for a stunning aerokit for his McLaren 570S. We forwarded a handful of makeovers done on an American McLaren 570S featuring Vorsteiner’s 570VX program and that immediately sealed the deal between our partnered dealer and his client.

With our extremely close relationship with Vorsteiner USA, we managed to secure a good demo deal for our dealer as Vorsteiner wanted our client’s McLaren to be the the unit to showcase the 570VX Aero Program for the Asian Market. Upon the delivery of the 570VX aerokit, we fitted it in collaboration with our partnered dealer.

For an aerokit of this large proportions, the manufacture and lead time required would usually take a minimum of 3 months. However, with our close relationship with the management of Vorsteiner USA, we managed to secure the delivery of the full aerokit in only 3 weeks, thus, assisting the deal between our partnered dealer and their client!

The 570VX program completely refreshes the front and rear end of the McLaren. Constructed of the finest Autoclaved Pre-Impregnated Carbon Fiber. Vorsteiner Carbon Fiber provides superior stiffness, aerospace strength & durability compared to traditional hand laid carbon fiber composites. Built in multiple pieces of which when assembled comes together as a full piece and composed completely of carbon fiber, the new front bumper which incorporates a front splitter gives the 570S a new, more aggressive look that’s sleeker and closer to the ground!

At the rear end, the entire bumper has been redesigned to incorporate a rear diffuser and an aero wing blade! A rear boot lid spoiler was also added to complete the look of the rear fascia. As a whole the whole package works together to deliver outstanding performance and aerodynamic capabilities. Tested during the American Gold Rush Rally, the new bodykit not only deliver striking aesthetics but also improves the McLaren’s aerodynamic efficiency. With the aerokit installed, the 570S would be able to achieve higher speeds with higher downforce!

With the whole car adorned with the Vorsteiner aero bits, it wouldn’t be complete without a set of Vorsteiner wheels and for that we had a set of Carbon Graphite V-FF 107 alloys fitted on. At 20 inches in diameter with a width of 8.5J in the front and 11J in the rear, the wheels are staggeringly light at just over 10 kilograms a piece!
