Just after having breakfast at a restaurant next door from our office, a client dropped by to take a look at the wheels we have on offer for his BMW F30 3-Series. Our client was already running 19 inch wheels but had complaints that his 19s were far too firm and stiff. As such, he was looking for a set of 18 inch wheels and immediately, we had the perfect set of alloys in mind for his M-Sport 3-Series!

We carry Vorsteiner’s V-FF 108 alloys, which are the only alloys of which Vorsteiner produces in an 18 inch fitment size. Having completed many makeovers featuring the V-FF 108 in its 18 inch variant, we were more than familiar with the alloy and showed a handful of images to our client. From the Honda HR-V and Toyota C-HRs to the BMW 3-Series and 4-Series vehicles, the V-FF 108 wheel the most versatile 18 inch wheel in the market that’s sure to turn up the looks of your vehicle.

Having looked at the photos of our V-FF 108 makeovers, our client immediately confirmed a set of wheels for his ride! The V-FF 108 alloy is definitely the benchmark alloy of the 18 inch segment! With a weight of 8.8 kilograms, the alloy sets the bar as the lightest wheel in the 18 inch segment. From an aesthetic point of view, the V-FF 108’s appearance is truly unique in its own way. The spokes of the wheel run from the center hub of the wheel to the outer rim of the alloy which depicts the appearance of this 18 inch wheel to be bigger than expected. Our client was surprised to see that despite the downsize from 19″ to 18″, his new alloys appeared bigger than usual! Vorsteiner’s signature Carbon Graphite finish adds some contrasting sportiness into the mix!

In a fitment of 8.5J x 18 in the front and 9.5J x 18″ in the rear, the wheels are perfectly aligned with the fenders of the vehicle, making the 3-Series appear broader and wider. The wider dimensions of the rear wheels also highlights the concavity of the wheel. With our client being adamant on his requirements of a set of run flat tires, we had the set of V-FF 108 alloys bundled up with a set of Pirelli P7 Cinturato Run Flat Tires, thus giving our client a better deal for the whole set! The tires were sized at 225/45/R18 for the front pair and 255/40/R18 for the rear!

Once the installation of the wheels were done, we drove it over to our routine spot for a short photo shoot session and the difference in driving feel en route to the location was absolutely amazing! The reduced weight of the alloys indeed enabled the car to perform and drive better, especially whilst breaking and speeding out of corners, thanks to the reduced weight figure.
