BMW X6 M Equipped With Vorsteiner V-FF 103’s
Out of the blue, we spotted a pristine Alpine White BMW X6 M driving into our reserved parking lot in front of our showroom. Apparently, the owner was paying us a visit looking for a set of wheels to replace his stock rollers. Equipped with a 560hp twin-turbocharged V8, the X6 M would have no problem speeding away on the stock wheels, but the owner complained that the wheels were too heavy especially since he was running on Run-Flat tires.
The moment he stepped in to our store, he spotted the Vorsteiner V-FF 103 wheel that we have on display and instantly he was attracted to it. One of the defining characteristics of the V-FF 103 wheels is it’s concavity profile that is deeper than most other wheels out there which astounded our client. With this particular set of wheels finished in Carbon Graphite, a Vorsteiner signature, we knew that it would fit and contrast perfectly with the cars Alpine White body. Right then and there, he decided to switch out his stock wheels to a set of the V-FF 103’s.
The selected fitment of the wheels are measured at 10J x 21″ in the front and 11J x 21″ in the rear, the wide profile of the rear wheels contributes to its groundbreaking depth of concavity. The wheels weigh about 10.95kg’s each which is a massive weight reduction in weight of about 50%-70% as compared to the stock wheels. Of course being a set of Vorsteiner wheels, these rims we’re tailored and built to the exact specifications required by the X6 for a completely flush installation of the wheels.
After our panel workshop fitted the wheels, as usual we called up our client to ask for his review and of course, he commented on the drastic difference in weight of the Vorsteiner wheels and the stock BMW wheels. The weight change brings forward a massive impact and improvement in performance of the X6, all in part thanks to its reduced overall weight. It is important to note that Vorsteiner’s unique aluminium alloy compound enables their wheels to remain as light as possible but at the same possess levels of strength that is higher than the makes of other manufacturers.
