Running on a set of 18 inch wheels, our client was interested in swapping out his alloys for a set of similar sized, better looking wheels that’ll improve not just the aesthetics of his vehicle but its performance as well. As such we turned to Vorsteiner USA. Vorsteiner has a pretty straightforward goal and pursuit.

Here we have a Mercedes-Benz W204 C-Class, equipped with the latest Vorsteiner wheel, the V-FF 108! The V-FF 108 is a particularly sharp and pointed design that bridges the gap between Vorsteiner’s curved designs. The rounded design ethic suits the chiseled chins on specific vehicles, rather than the softer and more elegant edges on others. Fitted on this W204 with a specification of 8.5J x 18″ in the front and 9.5J x 18″ in the rear, the V-FF 108 wheel fills the fender flares and gaps of this C-Class perfectly.

Vorsteiner’s concern is with the production of the very best and lightest wheels out there and naturally they only produce Flow Forged and Forged wheels of which this is the former. This manufacturing method translates into a wheel that’s drastically light than other wheels out there which improve vehicular dynamics massively! Speaking from a mechanical point of view, the weight of a vehicle is supported by its suspension components (e.g. shock absorbers, springs & etc.), however nothing else is able to hold up or support the weight of a vehicle’s wheels. The low weight figure of the wheels enable a vehicle to push harder, handle better, and all thanks to reduced unsprung weight which makes the car more agile and responsive! As a whole, for this article we focused to emphasize the mechanical and technical aspects of Vorsteiner’s wheels, the V-FF 108 in this case.
