The “Three Pointed Star” has been a symbol of luxury and prestige since its incarnation back in 1926. The W222 S-Klasse, is the flagship sedan of Mercedes-Benz. Showcasing every ounce of technology Mercedes-Benz can offer, the beautifully steamlined S-Klasse is the pinnacle of German engineering that Mercedes-Benz can offer.

The S400 Hybrid , has graced the roads of Malaysia for a couple of years now. A symbol of luxury and prestige it maybe, some owners state that this luxury limousine lacks the scare-factor and aggression present on other variants of the S-Klasse in the overseas market (e.g. S65 AMG). Being so, an owner approached us with intentions to “aggressify” his car. With its curvaceous body, and graceful stance, we decided to do a makeover on this S-Klasse by equipping it with a genuine S65 AMG body kit.

Upon deciding so, from the front we’ve fitted an AMG S65 front bumper. The bumper showcases, an elegant but yet aggressive chrome grille. Only the S65 body kit gets a chrome grille, the S63 body kit showcases a matte black grille. At the bottom of the bumper, a chrome lip inclusive with the front bumper, brings forward a massively different front fascia. The chrome trimmings on the front bumper, exudes a more sporty but elegant atmosphere.

Along the side profile, to hype up the look of the standard car, we’ve fitted the S65 AMG side skirts. With their extended chrome linings along the side skirts, it presents the car as a more stylish, classy saloon. From a three quarter view, the now apparent double chrome strips, ups the ante on the wow-factor. As a side benefit, the car appears more lengthy courtesy of the chrome trimmings.

With a complete makeover, the rear S65 AMG bumper was equipped to turn-up the scare factor at the back end. The rear bumper boasts a slightly curvaceous design made only better with the inclusion of the AMG diffuser. The quad exhaust tips, finished in their AMG trim is also inclusive with the rear bumper and exudes an impression similar in comparison with the legendary SL65 AMG Black Series. The diffuser, in black adds contrast between the main colour of the body and bumper. As a plus point, it adds more character into the mix as well.

 

 

 

To complete the makeover, we’ve fitted a set of AMG Multi-Spoke alloy wheels. Measured at 8.5J x 20″ in the front and 9.5J x 20″ in the rear, their chrome-like finish matches the other newly equipped chrome trimmings and highlights a more athletic side of the car. Finally, those alloys we’re wrapped up with the finest Italian rubbers, with Pirelli P-Zeros at all four corners, ensuring performance and safety.

As it is the W222 S-Klasse is an amazing vehicle, showcasing the best technology and performance that Mercedes-Benz can offer. The S400 Hybrid is proof that Mercedes-Benz is pushing the envelope on their technology. However, with the inclusion of a genuine S65 AMG body kit, the character of the S400 is massively transformed, especially with those alloys. As a whole, bystanders will definitely know, something special is making its way through the crowd.

The body kit completely changes the look of the S400, and with the car kitted up, no one could ever mistake this car from being a standard S-Klasse. Have a standard S-Klasse?
