With more and more full-sized, executive SUVs gracing the roads of our beloved Malaysia, comes more and more demand for large sized aftermarket wheels! We carry various brands from all across the globe such as, Vorsteiner of USA, HRE Performance Wheels & BBS of Germany and some other selections too. However, for the vehicles and clients we’ve worked with lately, most of the social media attention has been pointed at the V-FF 107 wheel, manufactured by Vorsteiner, one of the very best flow forged wheels in the segment!

Whats different about this write up is that, we’re working on a BMW X5 xDrive35i which is a welcoming change of task especially since most of our X5 makeovers we’ve done recently are mostly on the xDrive40e hybrid variant of the X5!

Regardless of whatever X5, all Malaysian market X5’s come with a set of 19 inch wheels which are definitely undersized for an SUV of this stature. As such, most clients face a dilemma upon their decision to upgrade the size of their wheels. Should they opt for something just a little larger like a set of 20 inch wheels or 21 inch wheels? Or should they jump right into a 22 inch size?

Our simple answer is a set of 22 inch wheels! Though we have applications for 20 & 21 inch wheels for the F15 X5, we would usually insist our clients on a set of 22 inch wheels and the reason we do this is due to the odd and rare tyre sizes for the 20 & 21 inch wheels. In our efforts to lead the industry as one of the pioneering aftermarket distributors, we’ve partnered with the very best tyre suppliers in the nation, which results in a set of 22 inch tyres being cheaper than a set of 20 & 21 inch tyres!

Regardless of whatever size you may opt for, what we absolutely love about the V-FF 107 wheels is its looks and design! No other wheel in the flow forged segment has such an aggressive design that stays classy at the same time, especially in its Titanium Machined finish! Though sized in 22 inches diameter and fitted with a width of 10.5J, these wheels remain the lightest in the segment thanks to Vorsteiner’s proprietary, ultralight aluminium compound!

As such, when our client paid us a visit he looked at our various selections of wheels in our showroom, but like the many other X5 clients we’ve encountered, he fell instantly for the looks and design of the V-FF 107 wheel! With that in mind, we test fitted a set of V-FF 107 wheels on his X5 of which in its Titanium Machined finish suits the Metallic Sparkling Brown body colour of the X5 perfectly! Taking it up another notch, we fitted the V-FF 107 wheels with a set of Vorsteiner Spline Lug Bolts for another touch of detail which goes along perfectly with the new alloys!
