Especially in black, the Mercedes-Benz S400h is a very cool car. Its sleek, curvaceous profile paired with its long wheelbase makes it look darn intimidating. It almost evokes the element of curiosity, wondering who is driving or being driven in the S-Klasse. As an aftermarket specialist, we deal with various customers who demand an extra level of customisation, beyond just a set of wheels and as such the owner of this S-Klasse who demanded an extra touch of aggression whilst maintaining the Mercedes-Benz style.

 

With an aim to make the S-Klasse more menacing, we the discussed the compatibilty of S-Klasse applications. We suggested the fitment of a full Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG bodykit as it can be fitted without any modifications whatsoever. When the owner confirmed his order for the S65 AMG body kit, we placed ou order for the parts directly from Germany and after two weeks the entire body kit was delivered to our showroom.

On the following day, we scheduled the body panels to be painted at our panel workshop in accordance to the cars body colour. The process took about a day or so and upon the completion of the painting process. For the installation process, we contacted the owner of the S-Klasse to bring it over to showroom to begin the fitment of parts. Working from the front end, we fitted the Genuine S65 AMG front bumper. Highlighting an elegant but yet aggressive chrome front fascia. Only the S65 AMG front bumper gets a chrome grille, whereas the S63 body kit showcases a matte black grille. A chrome lip spoiler garnishes the bottom of the front bumper, bringing forward an additional level of elegant aggression.

With the new bodykit, the side profile of the car is now garnished with chrome linings on the side skirts. It evokes a sense of elegance and style which in the standard car for some was not prominent enough for some. From a rear three three quarter view, the new chrome linings really make the car stand out from the crowd.

Without a doubt, the rear bumper had to be replaced to finish the full AMG makeover and so, we’ve fitted a genuine S65 AMG rear bumper to hype up the scare-factor of the car. The rear bumper boasts a slightly more aggressive design made only better with the AMG rear diffuser. The quad exhaust tips, in their AMG trim is inclusive with the rear bumper and evokes a more dynamic atmosphere. Painted in accordance with the body colour, the rear diffuser truly blends in the exude a much more sportier exterior. As a plus point, it adds more character into the mix as well. The entire makeover took only half-a-day to complete from morning till afternoon and as you can see, the results are overwhelming. We, do our best to speed-up the application process to give customers peace of mind without the need to leave their car with us for too long.

After a long days work, to finalise the makeover, the customer decided to go all the way. On the following day, the owner of the S-Klasse brought his car back to the showroom and we threw in a set of Vorsteiner V-FF 102 Flow Forged wheels finished in Brushed Aluminium. The wheels all in part due to its staggered set-up enhances the dynamic appeal of the car, and highlighting the deep concavity profile of the rear wheels. Lightweight it may feel but those slim but yet design filled spokes of the wheels not only accentuates the impression of thinner spokes but also maximises strength and durability.
