Raising The Bar: BMW F30 Equipped With Bilstein B12 ProKit & Vorsteiner V-FF 101 Wheels
Last week, as our shutters of our store just rolled open, we received a call on our landline from a client whom is inquiring on a set of Bilstein B12 shocks for his F30 as the stock suspension system is too soft or inadequate for spirited driving. As this is a well known issue amongst F30 enthusiasts, he wanted to equip his car with Bilstein’s B12 suspension to improve his car’s handling and to drop the ride height of his F30.
Several days later, he visited our showroom for the installation of the B12 suspension system. However, as he stepped in to our showroom, the Vorsteiner V-FF 101 wheel instantly attracted his attention. The V-FF 101 was launched sometime back when Vorsteiner first launched their flow forged lineup of wheels but it was made exclusive for Porsche’s and Ferrari’s. This BMW application however, was just recently launched due to its ultra-high demand by BMW fans all over the world. In fact, its so new that we had only received the stock for these V-FF 101’s a few days earlier.
All that being said, this customer instantly fell for the aesthetics and design of the wheels. Without any hesitation, he got a set of V-FF 101’s from us and put it on his car immediately. The wheels were coated with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires for maximum levels of grip on the road and as his car’s body colour was Melbourne Red, we included a set of Vorsteiner Limited Edition Red caps into the mix to turn up the wow factor of the car.
In the end, he swapped out his 17″ wheels for a set of 19″ wheels and an added benefit is that the new wheels are even lighter than his stock set of 17″ alloys. Plus, Vorsteiner’s unique aluminium compound ensures that the strength of the wheel remains high while its weight remains low. All in all, the new wheels contribute to the overall improvement of the cars aesthetics and performance while the new Bilstein B12 Suspension equipped on the car turns up the level of control and handling even further. As these new parts work together, they deliver an overall improved sensation of driving.
