The Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse has been one of our favourite luxury saloons. All of our staff in the showroom share one similar opinion, whereby the S-Klasse is the pinnacle of German luxury and status. That said though, viewing the car at all angles, you could sense the absence of aggression. The absence of a sporty or dynamic spirit. Which is exactly how the owner of this silver W222 felt. With an aim to “aggressify and sportify” the car, the staff in the showroom pondered upon the many choices of wheels that might hype up the dramatic appeal of the car. Moments later, we concluded that a set of Vorsteiner V-FF 102‘s finished in Brushed Aluminium would fit the car perfectly.

In our opinion, the wheel “fits” in, whereby the aesthetic design of the car is enhanced, and the wheels bring forward an aggressive and sporty character of the car, initially absent in stock form. Given that the car’s body colour is silver, the wheels in their Brushed Aluminium finish will definitely suit the car without fault. The combination of both colours bring forward an aggressive but yet understated appearance, perfectly suited for this luxury behemoth.
From the aspect of technicalities, the performance of the wheels don’t and never disappoint. Pushing the boundaries of technology, Vorsteiner’s method of manufacturing has managed to achieve an optimum balance of lightweight performance and durability. With the vehicle equipped with a staggered set up, the front wheels are measured at 9J x 20″ and each wheel weighs 11.52kg. At the back, the wheel’s measurements are 10J x 20″ and each weigh 10.02kg, highlighting Vorsteiner’s advanced weight reduction technology. In addition to that, as the exclusive distributor for Vorsteiner products in Malaysia, we have received zero dent/crack reports, showcasing Vorsteiners advancements in durability. With the reduction of weight along with strong durability, no doubt the set of new wheels would easily outlast the stock AMG wheels. Additionally, to assist the owner in saving cost we snapped on his previous set of tires.
