If you follow us on social media, you’d probably notice that most of the makeovers we’ve done are on cars with sporting characteristics. From sporty coupes to super sedans, we’ve done it all. That said, every now and then, we come across a clients with unique demands and when this Toyota Vellfire came in to our driveway, we knew this was going to be fun!
With the release of the 2002 Porsche Cayenne came the brands best selling vehicle, and now in its 2nd generation, Vorsteiner’s relentless pursuit of perfection has led them to manufacture a V-FF 103 application specifically for the Porsche Cayenne to give clients an option of high-performance aftermarket wheels.
We don’t get many BRABUS vehicles back here in Malaysia, but when we do, we take each and every opportunity to snap some photos and showcase this unique build up. Featured in these images is a superbly maintained BRABUS tuned Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Now aged it may be, being first launched back in 2005, but the owner of this car has taken car of it so well that it looks as good as new.
To kick off our Tuesday write up, we’d like to show our readers one of our latest makeovers on a Mercedes-Benz GLA250 with BBS latest addition into their lineup, the CI-R. Last week, despite our General Manager being overseas, our dedicated staff kept the show going and here we have another makeover done with BBS wheels. The owner of this GLA happens to be a personal friend of Allan Tan, our General Manager whom decided to pay a visit as Allan had invited him over prior to his trip overseas. After a brief handshake, our client browsed through our products that we have on display for a wheel that would suit his GLA.
Momentarily after viewing our products which are on display, our esteemed client was very interested in BBS’s latest release, the CI-R. The BBS CI-R is a concaved high-performance wheel in their distinctive 5 Y-spoke design which is now a BBS signature, familiar on their other models such as the SR. BBS is known for their high strength and low weight wheels and the CI-R weighs less than the companies flagship Flow Foaming wheel, the CH-R. When designing this new wheel, weight optimization was top priority. The proven Flow-Forming technology and back-milled spokes, results in a real lightweight construction.
These set of wheels are finished in Satin Titanium Grey, a familiar finish on the BBS lineup which suits this GLA perfectly. The darker appearance of the CI-R contrasts the silver on the GLA’s body. These 20 inch aluminium alloy wheels deliver an aesthetic combination that works in tandem with the GLA’s silver body colour to evoke a car that appears more muscular and aggressive.

Going big has never been so much fun, and with this new Mercedes-Benz C-Klasse upgrading its wheels to Vorsteiner’s iconic V-FF 101 wheel, we couldn’t agree more! Though, we might be all over the newer V-FF 106 and etc, Vorsteiner’s V-FF 101 was the wheel that started the ball rolling, redefining the industry with its massive reduction in weight and ultra-high strength.
